Mount Vernon Trail

One of my favorite bike destinations is the Mount Vernon Trail, starting south of Theodore Roosevelt Island.

There the trail follows the Potomac River along the Virginia shoreline opposite the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial. Below you can see why I like that stretch.
